The EAACI Immunology Winter School provides a unique platform for early-career researchers to engage in in-depth discussions on core immunological concepts and novel experimental findings in an inspiring, friendly and interactive setting.
This format is designed to foster mutual learning among young scientists and to provide direct access to leading experts in both basic and clinical immunology. Participants have the opportunity to present their yet unpublished data and interact closely with internationally recognised researchers working in different fields of immunology. The Winter School promotes a dynamic exchange of ideas, bridging fundamental mechanisms and translational research.
If you are planning to attend for the first time, we highly recommend reviewing the programmes from previous Winter School editions, available on our website. This will help you better understand the scientific scope, presentation style, and overall format of the event.
We kindly ask that submitted abstracts reflect unpublished, high-quality, original scientific research relevant to the field of immunology. Please note that clinical case reports are not encouraged, as the programme is designed to emphasise experimental and mechanistic studies.
Submission
- Only one abstract per applicant can be submitted.
- Abstracts should be written in English.
- Applicants should submit novel and previously not published data.
- Please note only a limited number of abstract submitters will be invited to attend and register for the on-site event based on the scientific excellence of the submitted abstract. Abstracts will be assessed by an expert panel of reviewers. Acceptance of the submitted work is at the discretion of the Scientific Committee.
- Please note that the final decisions regarding the allocation and the type of presentation of the submitted abstract will be made by the Scientific Programme Committee. 70 accepted abstract submitters will be invited to register for the event based on the quality of the submitted abstract.Kindly note that, during the selection process, priority will be given to abstract submitters applying to the Winter School for the first time.
General information
- When entering the abstract submission system for the first time, you will be asked to create a MyEAACI account (if you don’t have one already). Through your MyEAACI account you will be able to access your personal page to submit one or several abstracts.
- Upon submission, a confirmation email will be sent to the submitter’s email address. If you do not receive the confirmation e-mail, please do not submit the abstract again. Instead, please contact the Scientific Secretariat education@eaaci.org for advice.
- Declaration of conflict of interest: EAACI is committed to ensuring the integrity of scientific, educational, and research programmes. Abstract submission requires disclosure of any financial or other interest that might be construed as resulting in an actual, potential, or apparent conflict. The submitter is responsible for obtaining disclosure information from all co-authors, to be entered in the author section of the submission page.
- If you need to withdraw your abstract, a written statement listing the reasons for this decision must be sent to education@eaaci.org no later than 25 September 2025 (withdrawals after this date cannot be accepted). However, kindly note, that submission of an abstract constitutes a formal commitment by the author(s) to present the work if accepted. If a presenting author of an accepted abstract fails to present without a justified withdrawal, they risk jeopardising future acceptance at other EAACI Congresses and Events.
- IMPORTANT: The presenting author must be registered using the same email address which was indicated during the abstract submission.
